Wfu-modal-trigger is referenced but not present in webflow-modal.js

I’m working with the Dismissable Elements guide here, but when trying to follow the guide, the wfu-modal-trigger attribute doesn’t seem to exist in the webflow-modal.js script. So the modal just gets removed during pageload from the DOM because its never triggered to load (expected behavior is wfu-modal-trigger=load).

Is there a workaround to this until this is fixed? I am attempting to hide a banner after the user clicks the close button.

Let me think about this- I’m in the middle of migrating all modal triggers into the new Triggers-Events-Actions model, but all of the legacy ones should work. Are you using SA5’s modals or an interactions-based modal?

If you can share a link to the staged, published page as well, with any information I need to find or trigger it.

@jhalfman The docs are updated now. Been a busy month?
When I redesigned modals, this piece was split out but the attribute names hadn’t been updated in the docs yet. Give this a try.
